VISUDECO® is a registered trademark owned and managed by danish photographer Mark Wessel, who has spent more than 30 years creating images.

Mark created this online store, and named it - VISUDECO® - to exhibit and sell quality reproductions of his artwork and designed prints on clothes.

He was born in Denmark in 1963 - by danish parents, and spent his first 12 years in the south of Spain, as a warmer climate was very appealing to them. After his parents divorce in 1975 he and his mother moved back to Denmark, where he went to a boarding school - and graduated from there in 1982.

He didn't have a clear vision of what to do with his future, so he signed up for military service. A time of structure, discipline and friendships, which he was already familiar with - from his boarding school years - proceeded, but without greater interest for the long term.

While his service in the army was ending in 1983, he was asked to model by a fashion journalist for a newspaper - and with all the fun he had with those jobs - he let things happen in that world.

The next several years he spent traveling in Europe - doing editorial and commercial work for magazines and runway shows for famous designers. This was something he really enjoyed doing, and being in that environment inspired him to take up photography of his own, which he was already interested in - from when he was a kid.

He has - since - worked with most genres in the field. In the early 90'ties, he started doing editorial -, and commercial fashion photography and portraits in -, and outside of Denmark.

His interest in landscape and urban photography came later, after he had done fashion for some years, and moving over to this classic kind of photography - was a nice change for him. He welcomed abstract photography - later on, as a means of good fun and relaxation.

As time passed - he saw that making images,  is what he loved doing the most, so he chose to let his passion for creating images lead his way, which is reflected in the available designed prints here - at his store.

Why this kind of work . . . ? He loves working with images - both firsthand and in post production. He mainly uses his medium format camera and sometimes his phone, and he works on the images from there.

In a project - when he feels his image has a good story to tell, and gives the viewer a good feeling - this is, when he has achieved his goal with that image.
